$ 60 million was probably the price demanded by the script of pre-production (thus excluding the cost of advertising, marketing and distribution).
Although $ 60 million today is so, considering that most movies arrive almost double, meaning (hopefully ) that the film has a great chance to have that level of quality that fans want to see!
